IE7 keyboard shortcuts

Always a favourite subject in the the office here – how to do stuff faster using keyboard shortcuts. It always amazes us that Microsoft doesn’t do a better job of publicising these really handy productivity tools. For some reason this information gets buried and so few people we see around offices know any of them. They can really speed up the browsing experience and don’t take up an awful lot of brain power to remember them!
Here’s some of our favourites for Internet Explorer 7 – there are plenty more out there – but these should get you going if you’re new to the shortcut game.
Print this list out and stick it next to your PC!
Open link in a new tab – CTRL+LEFT CLICK
Go back a page – BACKSPACE
Go full screen (remove the toolbars) – F11
Zoom in or out of a page – CTRL+ or CTRL-
Select next tab – CTRL+TAB
Delete auto-complete entry (previously visited addresses in the address bar) – SHIFT+DELETE
View Bookmarks – CTRL+B
Open a new browsing tab – CTRL+T
Scroll down a webpage – SPACE
Happy browsing!

Thanks for the kind words…
I look at the site every day in Firefox – don’t think there’s a problem.
